About the position

As an account executive at Validere, you will be responsible for building strong client relationships, understanding industry-specific challenges, and tailoring Validere's flexible solutions to meet business needs. You will lead the end-to-end sales process, from accurate deal scoping and proposal development to contract negotiation, ensuring alignment between client requirements and technical capabilities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure smooth implementation handoffs while consistently meeting sales targets and contributing to company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Relationships: Build strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders in oil and gas companies (e.g., emissions managers, operations managers, IT leaders, procurement, and executives).
  • Understand Client Needs: Understand clients' operational or emissions challenges, business goals, and regulatory requirements and help map those to Validere's products and services.
  • Act as a Trusted Advisor: Position yourself as a knowledgeable partner who understands both Validere's technology and the nuances of the oil and gas sector.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological shifts.
  • Demonstrate ROI: Articulate how the platform delivers measurable value, such as cost reductions, efficiency improvements, risk mitigation, or value creation.
  • Collaboration with Pre-Sales and Technical Teams: Work closely with solution architects, engineers, and consultants to translate client needs into a detailed scope of work.
  • Pipeline Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil and gas sector, from initial prospecting to closing deals.
  • Quota Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, contributing to company growth.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of oil and gas operations (upstream, midstream, downstream).
  • Ability to translate complex technical solutions into business value.
  • Expertise in scoping flexible software platforms to meet varied client requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
