About the position

RealTruck's Amazon Visual Merchandising and Marketing Director will be a cross-functional leader shaping the digital consumer experience on Amazon by overseeing all aspects of the Amazon marketing strategy, visual merchandising, content strategy, reporting, and campaign planning/execution. This results-oriented role will balance art and science to develop, plan, and lead seasonal optimized product storytelling that inspires consumers to choose RealTruck products. This position will require expertise to drive sales growth, enhancing brand presence, and optimizing the entire consumer journey on the highly competitive Amazon platform. The Director will be a key leader, shaping the Amazon strategy and collaborating with cross-function teams to ensure our products achieve/maintain market share leadership and profitability goals. This role is on the Marketing Senior Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Amazon marketing and visual merchandising strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and customer preferences.
  • Oversee the development, planning, and content of Amazon marketing campaigns, including Amazon Ads and promotional activities.
  • Define clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for Amazon marketing and merchandising.
  • Lead the end-to-end optimization of Amazon Product Detail Pages (PDPs), ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Spearhead Brand Store development and merchandising strategies to improve navigation, education, and conversion rates.
  • Manage and optimize product listings, focusing on compelling content and brand consistency.
  • Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to refine product positioning and enhance conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with the Amazon account team on all needs related to the Amazon business.
  • Monitor and analyze key Amazon KPIs, making data-driven adjustments to strategies.
  • Identify and implement automation tools and technologies to streamline marketplace operations.
  • Manage budget and scope of work for internal teams or external agencies supporting Amazon visual merchandising.
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to Amazon customer reviews, ratings, and Q&A.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align Amazon strategy with broader business objectives.
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights to leadership, highlighting growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and identify opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field is required; MBA is preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership/management/supervisory experience is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in e-commerce, with a strong focus on Amazon 1P management.
  • 5+ years of consumer-focused ecommerce experience required.
  • 7+ years of experience working in large-scale matrixed companies known for strong digital acumen required.
  • 7+ years of site merchandising/marketing/product management experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital storytelling required.
  • Proven knowledge of Amazon platform technology integrations.
  • Proven track record of driving significant sales growth and profitability on Amazon.
  • Deep expertise in Amazon advertising suite, SEO, A+ Content, and Brand Store development.
