About the position

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, Position Control & Data Management Unit, the incumbent is responsible for full position control activities and producing accurate personnel data reports utilizing the Management Information Retrieval System (MIRS). Duties include the processing of Std. 607s (Change in Established Positions), monthly position reconciliation utilizing the State Controller's Office (SCO) Established Position Report and Periodic report, Business Information System (BIS) maintenance, and monthly reconciliation, position roster card maintenance and reconciliation, funding tracking maintenance, and the Fiscal Management Section/Budget Management Branch (FMS/BMB) reconciliation as needed and Schedule 8/Position Recap reconciliation with FMS/BMB.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full position control activities.
  • Produce accurate personnel data reports utilizing MIRS.
  • Process Std. 607s (Change in Established Positions).
  • Conduct monthly position reconciliation utilizing the SCO Established Position Report.
  • Maintain and reconcile Business Information System (BIS).
  • Maintain and reconcile position roster cards.
  • Track funding maintenance.
  • Perform FMS/BMB reconciliation as needed.
  • Conduct Schedule 8/Position Recap reconciliation with FMS/BMB.

Requirements

  • State experience applied toward the 'General Experience' pattern must include at least one year in a class at a level of responsibility equivalent to that of the promotional class.
  • Experience applicable to one of the following patterns may be combined on a proportional basis with experience applicable to the other patterns to meet the total experience requirements, provided that the combined qualifying experience totals at least 30 months.
  • Education equivalent to graduation from college is required when general experience is used to qualify at any level.
  • One year of experience performing the duties of a Staff Services Analyst, Range C, or three years of professional analytical experience in budgeting, management analysis, personnel, planning, program evaluation, or policy analysis.
