About the position

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a front-end developer to drive the front-end vision across all product engineering teams. This role involves serving as a partner to all product development teams and setting the standard for technology delivery at OCC. The successful candidate will utilize software engineering principles and collaborate closely with design and UX teams to deliver next-generation experiences across applications. Responsibilities include troubleshooting user interface challenges, developing financial systems using ReactJS, Typescript, Axios, and React Query, and building UI applications as micro-frontends in a Single SPA framework. The role also requires maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker, enhancing components for reuse, and engaging in security testing and compliance. Up to 40% telecommuting is permitted.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the front-end vision across all product engineering teams at OCC.
  • Serve as a partner to all product development teams and set the standard for technology delivery.
  • Utilize software engineering principles and work closely with design and UX teams.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve user interface challenges from both development and design perspectives.
  • Develop and design financial systems using ReactJS, Typescript, Axios, and React Query.
  • Build UI applications as micro-frontends in a Single SPA framework leveraging Webpack and OAuth 2.0.
  • Maintain core components using Storybook and shared logic for UI applications.
  • Enhance and refactor components for reuse and contribute to the larger Design System.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker for micro-frontends.
  • Champion reusability, best practice component design, and accessibility within the business.
  • Engage security engineering for testing and compliance with security controls.
  • Analyze emerging software engineering technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience as an application developer, software engineer, programmer, or related.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with developing and designing financial systems using ReactJS, Typescript, Axios, and React Query.
  • Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker.
  • Experience building UI applications as micro-frontends in a Single SPA framework.
  • Experience maintaining core components using Storybook and shared logic for UI applications.
