The part-time internship program is designed for juniors, seniors, or actively enrolled graduate students from colleges or universities partnered with HanesBrands. Students must be degree-seeking and have good academic and disciplinary standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The internship program covers various functional areas, including Innerwear, HR/Legal, Strategy and IT, Supply Chain, and Finance. The Brand Marketing Intern will support the marketing department in developing, analyzing, and optimizing brand strategies for the apparel company. This position is responsible for gathering and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that drive marketing decisions and enhance brand performance. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to measure campaign effectiveness, track brand performance, and ensure data-driven marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and passionate about data-driven marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze brand performance data: Gather and interpret data related to brand performance, including sales trends, market share, and consumer behavior, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support campaign analysis: Provide insights into the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and suggest improvements based on data analysis.
  • Monitor competitive activity: Track and analyze competitor marketing activities, trends, and performance to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Create marketing reports: Generate and distribute regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct market research: Collaborate with market research teams to gather data on consumer trends and preferences and incorporate findings into marketing strategies.
  • Assist in budget tracking: Monitor and report on marketing spending, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with brand managers, digital marketing, and sales teams to align data insights with broader business goals.
  • Optimize marketing processes: Identify opportunities for improvement in data collection, reporting, and analysis to increase the effectiveness of marketing strategies.
  • Support digital marketing efforts: Contribute to the analysis of digital marketing performance, including website traffic, social media engagement, and online campaigns.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or graduate degree program at an accredited university, both at the time of application and throughout the internship duration.
  • Entry-level knowledge/experience: Demonstrated through roles or team-based activities (e.g., school projects, part-time employment, volunteer work, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with marketing analytics platforms like Google Analytics, CRM tools, or social media analytics.
  • Strong communication skills to present data and insights to stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
