About the position

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Airbnb Communications team delivers campaigns that keep Airbnb front of mind, helping to stimulate word-of-mouth and supporting direct traffic to the site. We’re seeking a creative, organized, passionate and versatile team contributor to support a global Communications team that is developing compelling year-round campaigns to insert Airbnb into a wide range of conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as key operating partner for the Director Strategy, Operations and Measurement on business operations for the global Communications team, e.g., budget planning, mapping key moments for workshops and market visits, leading ongoing rhythm of business.
  • Design, build, and/or optimize critical frameworks, processes, and assets for our global efforts.
  • Optimize the design, management, and reporting of our increasingly global and multifaceted budget to enable clear regional or market-specific views.
  • Develop the prioritization approach and ROI framework for global communications initiatives.
  • Develop the workload and process flow to ensure projects and initiatives are on time, scaled, and resources appropriately.
  • Drive annual planning process as a key element of central planning and budgeting.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in global communications/marketing operations, strategy & operations, and/or management consulting (or the equivalent).
  • Experience working with a global organization across disciplines (Finance, Strategy, Consumer and Product, Creative, Production, etc.) and with a range of non-US local teams.
  • Analytical, structured thinker with strong business acumen. Experience partnering with Finance (FP&A, Strategic Finance) and Analytics/Data Science.
  • Experience establishing systems and developing processes in a dynamically scaling environment.
  • Ability to take a vague problem, crisply frame the challenge, identify a path forward, and drive an initiative over the finish-line.
  • Passion for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to own the work in a hands-on way and be in the details.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence decisions at all levels.
