About the position

The University Advisement Center is looking to hire a Customer Service Specialist II to staff the front desk operations at our Decatur, Atlanta, and Clarkston campuses. This position is integral to these offices running smoothly, and it is expected that the successful candidate will open and close the office each day. The work hours for these positions are 8:30 AM until 5:15 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information about departmental policies, procedures, and regulations to students, faculty, staff, and the general public who may come to the office.
  • Coordinate phone traffic for the office.
  • Supervise student assistants.
  • Schedule appointments for staff.
  • Coordinate the petition process to include data tracking.
  • Inventory and order office supplies as necessary.
  • Take minutes at staff meetings.
  • Coordinate use of office conference rooms.
  • Coordinate morning and afternoon mail and faxes; send out to designated mailboxes.
  • Create monthly reports to include monthly traffic to office, petitions, phone, and academic forms.
  • Assist with any special projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of customer service, administrative or office experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
