Responsibilities

  • Define the product strategy and how it aligns to Farm Bureau Bank’s overall objectives in order to profitably grow the credit card portfolio.
  • Be the subject matter expert with respect to competition, industry trends, and changing customer needs.
  • Manage new offerings and enhancements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage market research to understand industry and product trends, assess customer behaviors and attitudes and plan product enhancements accordingly.
  • Communicate industry and market research to ensure the sales team is current on competitor offerings/promotions.
  • Manage product training to include sales training as well as ongoing training to support product/feature enhancements, refresher training, or training/communications related to promotional campaigns.
  • Work with sales management to develop the annual marketing campaign to include sales goals, promotional campaigns, incentives, collateral or advertising materials needed and metrics/reporting to monitor and manage performance.
  • Act as first point of contact for all deposit product related inquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues to address any issues that may arise.
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple lines of business, product management, client service, operations, risk and other functional areas in the planning and execution of projects related to the credit card portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of Product Management experience, with some being in the banking industry.
  • Broad knowledge of core consumer banking products and services, including experience with branch and on-line sales environments.
  • Retail banking experience beneficial.
  • Broad experience in product management of both asset and liability products.
