Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of the finance functions within the Product Area.
  • Collaborate with Product Area leaders to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Provide financial guidance and support for new product pursuits, investments and other strategic projects.
  • Act as a business partner to the VP Product Area ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Review new business quotes to ensure metrics meet the Magna minimum financial threshold.
  • Work with Cross-Functional Team to secure necessary information for proper estimates.
  • Oversee Project Controlling which monitors and manages all financial aspects.
  • Prepare and present monthly business updates for the Product Area.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead a quarterly review of sales roadmap to inform/update key Senior Leadership Team members.
  • Coordinate the annual business plan review and complete product area budgets.
  • Evaluate/advice on long-term impact of plans, programs, investments, divestitures, strategies and regulatory practices.
  • Review capital projects and quote capital for new programs.
  • Ensure system of Internal Control, documentation, and reviews are being performed.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Support Magna’s public company reporting requirements.
  • Ensure all safety and non-safety rules and regulations are followed.

Requirements

  • Strong financial and operational knowledge.
  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial planning.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Knowledge of regulations, policies and procedures that affect the company.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with Magna’s Operational Principles and Environmental Health and Safety Policy.
