About the position

The successful candidate for this role will become part of the Fidelity Architecture & Engineering (FAE) Product Management Office to focus on Observability. FAE’s Product & Portfolio Management Office’s mission is to provide our internal customers with core and common technologies, products, and services that support Fidelity’s overall goals. We are dedicated to supporting the delivery of scalable and secure platforms that enhance efficiency, flexibility, and growth. Responsibilities

  • Guide technology-focused teams and functions in a matrixed environment.
  • Influence stakeholders and establish strong relationships.
  • Bring large cross-functional groups together.
  • Understand open-source observability strategies and relevant technologies.
  • Manage external vendors on key deliverables and operations metrics.
  • Prioritize requests from multiple teams and visualize progress updates.
  • Establish relationships to understand people, processes, and tools for product marketing.
  • Engage and influence senior leaders.
  • Manage and use data analytics related to technology and access management risks.
  • Translate strategic objectives into action and prioritize to improve value.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer for the Observability platform strategy.
  • Maintain a prioritized roadmap for the platform and tools.
  • Provide communications to BU partners for events, releases, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal product managers for alignment of key deliverables.
  • Provide oversight of the open-source Observability platforms and track key metrics.
  • Proactively engage BUs and stakeholders to anticipate needs and remove roadblocks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in guiding technology-focused teams.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and establishing strong relationships.
  • Strong understanding of open-source observability strategies.
  • Proficiency with open-source observability tools and platforms, especially OpenTelemetry.
  • Expertise in managing external vendors on key deliverables.
  • Ability to prioritize requests and visualize progress updates.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in data analytics related to technology and access management risks.
  • Strong business/technical knowledge related to technology planning and Agile delivery processes.
