Floor Technician Full Time

About the position

Forefront Healthcare is hiring full-time Floor Technicians at Luthercare in Lititz, PA. The position involves performing daily cleaning of facility floors to ensure an attractive, clean, and sanitary environment, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains attractive and clean floors by sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, stripping and refinishing, and burnishing floors on a regular basis.
• Closely follows daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Performs floor cleaning functions in lobbies, dining rooms, waiting rooms, activity areas, and other areas as assigned.
• Monitors inventory of floor supplies.
• Reports any repairs needed to floor equipment to immediate supervisor.
• Cleans all types of blood and body fluids as directed.
• Cleans equipment and work areas as assigned by the Manager.
• Participates in activities related to ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Be knowledgeable of Federal, State, and facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Attend in-service educational programs.
• Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties.
• Understand the facility’s fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies.
• Perform other department duties assigned by the Housekeeping/EVS or designee.

Nice-to-haves

• High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of housekeeping experience in a health care setting is desired.
• General knowledge of cleaning and infection prevention.
