About the position
The position involves working safely at all times, being aware of surroundings, and complying with Pratt Industries Safety rules and operating procedures. Employees are expected to participate in the Plant Safety Committee and follow Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs). The role includes learning and adhering to quality procedures and policies to prevent bad quality products from reaching customers. General duties include housekeeping, moving products, maintaining accurate inventory records, performing basic forklift maintenance, and adhering to production schedules. Overtime may be required, including on short notice and during holidays.
Responsibilities
- Work safely at all times and comply with safety rules and procedures.
- Participate in Plant Safety Committee.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs).
- Learn and comply with quality procedures and policies.
- Perform general duties and responsibilities as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work areas.
- Move various sized units and products to staging areas.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory locations.
- Perform basic forklift equipment maintenance.
- Adhere to production schedules.
- Work overtime as necessary, including holidays.
Requirements
- Must be Pratt forklift certified.
- Previous Pratt and/or two years’ forklift operation preferred.
- Experience with scanner or barcode warehouse management systems preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and communicate positively.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to read a tape measure.
- Excellent time management skills.
