As a Front End Software Engineer (Manager), you will work with software development engineers responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, integrating, testing, implementing, and deploying new and existing software application programs. You will lead the design and implementation of complex, high-performance front-end applications with exceptional user experiences. Your role will include providing technical leadership and direction, influencing architectural decisions and shaping the front-end roadmap. You will also design, develop and maintain the user interface and user experience for web applications, champion best practices in front-end development, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience, or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 4 years of work experience.
  • 4 years of experience with hands-on coding of customer facing enterprise business class systems developing user interfaces.
  • 4 years of experience leveraging languages, libraries and frameworks including JavaScript, Node.js, HTML & CSS along with Angular and/or React.
  • 4 years of experience consuming RESTful APIs and JSON data in web applications.
  • 4 years of experience with web security and working with OWASP security considerations.
  • 4 years of experience as a Front-End developer.
  • 4 years of experience with modern front-end technologies such as React, NextJS, Angular, Node.js, Electron, React Native or Vue.js.
  • 4 years of experience with web development IDE's such as Visual Studio Code, WebStorm, or similar.
  • 4 years of experience developing, packaging, testing, debugging and deploying responsive web applications.
  • 4 years of experience with collaborative development and code management tools including Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • 4 years of experience working in an Agile and TDD or BDD environment.
  • 4 years of experience working as a technology consultant for a professional services firm.
  • 2 years of experience leading software development planning workshops and client-facing presentations.
  • 2 years of experience managing a team of developers and mentoring junior level consultants.
  • 4 years of experience with CSS preprocessors, build tools, and version control systems.
  • 4 years of experience with caching technologies and techniques.
  • 4 years of experience debugging and performance tuning web applications.
  • 4 years of experience delivering accessibility compliant interfaces according to WCAG standards.
  • 4 years of experience developing responsive web interfaces across a broad range of devices.
  • 4 years of testing experience using tools such as Jest, Cucumber, Selenium, or similar.
