About the position

Leidos has a new and exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer in our National Security Sector's (NSS) Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Debug existing software and correct defects.
  • Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
  • Write or review software and system documentation.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years' experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Four (4) years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Java development experience.
  • Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working on an Agile development team.
  • C++.
  • JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • React or similar libraries (Vue, Angular).
  • Consuming and creating REST APIs and WebSockets.
  • Experience with JavaScript 3D libraries such as Three.js is preferred, but not required.
