Full-time Certified Personal Trainer

About the position

FFC is seeking a Certified Personal Trainer to join our team at the FFC West Loop location. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity for trainers to earn commission based on their experience and certifications, with earnings ranging from $38 to $74 per session. New trainers will receive additional bonuses during their first three months for meeting session goals, ensuring a supportive start to their career. Trainers are guaranteed to earn at least minimum wage for all hours worked, providing financial security as they build their client base.

Responsibilities

• Proactively grow your client base through prospecting and outreach (cold calls, email, social media)
• Keep your weekly appointments organized and up-to-date
• Maintain at least 30 work hours in the club each week, including at least one weekend shift
• Work during the last three days of each month to help meet individual and department budget goals
• Ensure the fitness floor is clean, safe, and welcoming for all members, guests, and colleagues
• Conduct personalized New Join Services for all new members within their first 30 days
• Assist members with specific concerns on the fitness floor, including spotting them during exercises and offering expert advice
• Build relationships with members to uncover their interests and match them to FFC offerings
• Provide and monitor personalized exercise recommendations, helping clients achieve their specific fitness goals
• Keep your certifications up to date and attend all required department meetings, continuing education sessions, and member appreciation events
• Volunteer for special events and programs that FFC provides, sponsors, or participates in
• Maintain detailed records of fitness evaluations, workout programs, client notes, and progress tracking in the Portal

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology or a related field
• Nationally accredited Personal Training certification
• 2+ years in a health club setting with proven sales experience in personal training sessions
• Must be or have been a Master and/or Elite level trainer
• Current CPR and AED certification
