About the position
Essential Purpose: To maintain the highest possible quality of appearance and condition of resort lawns and gardens.
Responsibilities
- To satisfactorily perform routine Gardening functions as directed, including mowing, grading, pruning, trimming, thinning, watering, fertilizing, spraying, tying and staking, seeding, planting, and transplanting.
- To transport to work areas loads of asphalt, concrete mix, gravel, and similar materials.
- To receive, load, unload, and store gardening materials weighing up to 80 lbs.
- To assist, as directed, in performing minor cement, electrical, and plumbing work.
- To maintain, as directed, the cleanliness and operating condition of gardening equipment.
- To respond to all guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
- To promote & comply with all policies and procedures of Temecula Creek Inn.
- To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
- To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
- To practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others, including the safe operation of all power-driven machinery.
- To ensure safe work practices of all Golf Course Maintenance staff, including compliance with company and departmental safety rules and regulations and the proper use and handling of all relevant equipment and machinery.
- To attend all mandatory meetings, as directed.
- To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
Requirements
- Able to speak, read, and write English, and to follow simple verbal instructions.
- Experienced in operation and care of relevant gardening equipment.
- Hotel experience preferred.
