About the position

We are hiring a Head of Strategic Audience Marketing for Personal Investor to lead a team of marketing strategists dedicated to developing and executing audience-centric marketing strategies for key audiences - including new and high-net-worth clients - bringing Vanguard's mission to life for these investors. Together you and your team will develop a deep understanding of audience needs, generating insights to craft compelling and distinct marketing strategies to engage with these audiences, deepening relationships and driving client outcomes. In this role, you will collaborate with teams across Global Marketing, Sales, Digital Client Experience, and Workplace Solutions to develop and deliver cohesive, omni-channel, personalized client experiences that drive measurable business outcomes. Your strategic mindset, customer-centric focus, and exceptional leadership skills will be crucial in advocating for client needs and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew.
  • Leads the client marketing strategy for the respective area of the business.
  • Mentors and coaches crew to ensure they develop and maintain a broad knowledge and awareness of marketing industry forces, competition, and trends.
  • Leads specialists and managers and provides insight on best practices and assists team with obstacles.
  • Communicates with stakeholders, leaders, team members, management, and department partners to ensure that requirements and priorities are understood.
  • Drives the development of a continuous feedback loop to gather input from sales, client services, and other partners regarding business needs.
  • Leads the development of client marketing tracking methodology to set parameters of success based on relevant data, analytics, and desired results.
  • Ensures all steps are taken to mitigate risk and maintains control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements in client marketing plans.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Eight years related work experience.
  • Three years of marketing experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or equivalent experience required.
  • Graduate degree preferred.
