About the position

In collaboration with the Financial Advisor Services Organization (FAS), Vanguard's Chief Data and Analytics Office is embarking on a transformative journey to revolutionize how data and analytics propel Vanguard FAS's vision of being the Advisor to the Advisor. As a Head of Strategic Marketing Analytics, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing a team of talented professionals, driving innovative initiatives, and ensuring the successful implementation of data-driven solutions that enhance the advisor and distribution experience. You will also serve as a point of escalation and approval for data management and advanced analytics operations, strategy, and goals, aligning with department and enterprise strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists, product managers, and marketing strategists.
  • Work closely with cross-divisional teams to design and implement cutting-edge analytical frameworks that support FAS's vision and business objectives.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of large datasets from various marketing channels.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of advanced statistical models to estimate the effectiveness of marketing tactics and predict future performance.
  • Evaluate the incremental impact of marketing investments on business outcomes.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to optimize marketing spend and improve campaign effectiveness based on model outputs.
  • Create detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Continuously refine models and methodologies to improve accuracy and relevance.
  • Conduct scenario analyses to forecast the potential outcomes of different marketing strategies and budget allocations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in people leadership, including mentoring and developing team members.
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in leading strategic collaborations across diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of marketing mix modeling techniques, including multivariate regression and time-series analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing analytics, including marketing mix modeling, marketing touch attribution, and causal inference technologies.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets from various marketing channels.
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing analytics, preferably within a consulting or corporate environment.
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining advanced statistical models.
  • Ability to translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex marketing problems using data-driven approaches.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results within tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and emerging marketing trends.
