About the position

The Marketing Manager 1 position is a 6-month contract with the opportunity to transition to a regular full-time role. The role is based in Edina, MN, and operates in a hybrid model, with onsite work required from Monday to Thursday and optional remote work on Fridays. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5-7 years of experience in marketing, particularly in high-tech or telecommunications environments.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and manage channel marketing plans and programs, including Go-To-Market strategies for national and regional retailers such as BestBuy across all of Samsung’s Mobile product categories.
  • Execute marketing tactics flawlessly during all product lifecycle elements while ensuring brand consistency.
  • Manage multi-million dollar digital advertising programs.
  • Oversee the end-to-end online customer experience journey.
  • Manage marketing spend and investment strategies for assigned accounts, evaluating campaign effectiveness while driving attainment of various marketing KPIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create, update, and drive product launch schedules, marketing, and ecommerce placements for new products.
  • Establish a comprehensive master launch preparation schedule capturing all key launch milestones and unique requirements for each assigned account.
  • Work with various teams to establish creative asset delivery schedules that support the needs of each assigned retailer.
  • Develop the strategy for in-store customer experience journey.
  • Conduct data collections, research, and insight creation to determine unique selling points for each retailer.
  • Collaborate with the broader channel marketing team on strategic acquisition and retention initiatives.
  • Lead the foundational elements of the communication strategy, including audience segmentation and messaging strategies.
  • Communicate product positioning throughout the team and assist the sales organization in developing customer presentations.
  • Present clear and actionable analysis and recommendations to leadership.
  • Work effectively in a team environment with limited direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, preferably in high-tech or telecommunications environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with digital marketing tactics such as PPC and Display Ads.
  • Strong CDM/CLM/CRM experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
