About the position

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking - Import Aggregation Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with innovative problem-solving.
  • Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains synchronized algorithms with systems.
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met.
  • Analyzes and visualizes large data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems.
  • Identifies hidden problems and patterns in data to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contributes to software engineering communities and explores new technologies.
  • Fosters a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Stays informed about industry technology trends and best practices for competitiveness and innovation.
  • Demonstrates success in DevOps, infrastructure design, and transformation roles.
  • Applies software skills in business analysis, development, maintenance, and improvement for better project outcomes.
  • Leads testing automation tools implementation and manages system performance for optimal efficiency and security.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficient in coding in Java / Springboot.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (React, Angular).
  • Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS).
  • Experience in Kafka, Cassandra, Cloud Micro-service Development, Restful API development.
  • Hands on Experience in DevOps technologies (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.).
