About the position

The ideal candidate should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. He/she must have an eye for clean and functional application designs and have superior user interface design skills. The successful candidate must be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts. They will be able to transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs. Designs must be able to enhance the user experience from a functional and emotional perspectives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer, business, and product needs and requirements with product owners and other related stakeholders.
  • Establish/enhance the visual design style and design guidelines for applications, including features and functionalities.
  • Collaborate in the user requirement gathering process to create appropriate project documentation as it relates to the visual design of the user experience.
  • Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, data, customer feedback, user research, and technical constraints/opportunities.
  • Understand product specifications and user psychology. Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback.
  • Design layouts, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to assess product viability and user experience.
  • Designs & tirelessly advocates for simple, intuitive user experience/interface.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, product owners, and other project stakeholders.
  • Manage your time across multiple projects; provide sound time and level-of-effort estimates.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of proven experience as a Web Application Designer or similar role.
  • Demonstrable strong UX, UI, and graphic design knowledge & skills.
  • Expertise in interaction design and information architecture.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or other visual design and wire-framing tools.
  • Up-to-date with the latest web application design trends.
  • BSc in Design, BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Analytical mind with business acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills.
