About the position

Join Royal Caribbean Group as a full-time Lead, Product Development on the Hotel Operations Team, reporting to the Manager, Product Development. This position is responsible for guest journey development and detailed product definition of high-quality concepts and experiences for Celebrity Cruise guests onboard our ships. You will translate the product vision into various briefs and documents, ensuring alignment among stakeholders. Your role includes executing new concepts and experiences, collaborating on multiple rollout efforts, and updating current products as part of Celebrity’s Operational Excellence efforts. You will need to be a self-starter with strong creative thinking, storytelling capabilities, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day product vision and support for all partners and stakeholders.
  • Lead all aspects from experience ideation, documentation, and execution handoff to operations.
  • Create experience stories outlining product direction for partners and stakeholders.
  • Develop playbooks, executive presentations, and operating procedures using creative approaches.
  • Help partners prioritize to ensure final delivery of the product aligns with strategic vision.
  • Communicate changes and updates to cross-functional teams while keeping Product Development Managers informed.
  • Work closely with operations and design teams on events and mockups to showcase new products.
  • Track and monitor startup plans by developing training materials and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with Newbuild and architectural/design/construction partners to meet brand expectations.
  • Leverage data from Insights & Analytics to inform product development.
  • Share experience guidelines with Creative Agencies, Hotel Operations, and Newbuild teams.
  • Define success criteria for products and coordinate post-delivery audits.
  • Support governance for guest-facing product changes in line with Operational Excellence standards.
  • Oversee execution of the vision for various products and experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in guest experience, physical product, design, or similar role.
  • Startup experience, newbuilds, or similar preferred.
  • Previous product owner experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, F&B, or entertainment industry preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Experience in development of physical products or customer experiences.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a large ecosystem of partners and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter with a positive outlook and attention to detail.
