About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead automation initiatives in a collaborative agile team environment and ensure quality service delivery to the Wells Fargo networking teams. Secure Network Innovation and Automation (SNIA) is responsible for network innovation, strategy development, driving key technologies, automation initiatives and network lab management. This position is open with the SNIA automation team who is responsible for providing automation solutions for network testing and system reliability engineering operations. The Automation team works collaboratively with lab infrastructure, site reliability and networking tower teams to automate network device configurations, device certification for upgrades or patch fixes and is also responsible for automating redundant Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) operations like device software and configuration management, compliance testing and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 6+ years of experience in Python Coding
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps processes and Release Management

Nice-to-haves

  • Ansible collection development
  • Deep experience in Python's Django framework
  • Networking knowledge (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
