About the position

The Lead Software Engineer is a UX Developer focused on the development of DTCC’s next generation incident management and observability tools. The software developed by this team will be used by operational and business users within DTCC to accelerate the resolution of incidents and help support the company’s most critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Be a member of a development team responsible for developing incident management and observability software.
  • Work on different application components including UI/UX development and iOS mobile app development.
  • Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
  • Research and evaluate technical solutions consistent with DTCC technology standards.
  • Contribute to our Engineering Knowledge Base, documenting all design/architecture.
  • Identify potential risks as well as provide guidance in remediation.
  • Work with peers to mature ways of working, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the job or related position.
  • Developing mobile applications for iOS and Android using native technologies or frameworks like React Native.
  • Integration of mobile app lifecycle management using Microsoft Intune.
  • Using Java and related frameworks including Spring, Hibernate, and Struts for back-end development.
  • Using AngularJS for front-end development.
  • Relational databases including PostgreSQL when hosted on AWS (RDS).
  • Cloud computing platforms including AWS, EC2, S3, RDS and Lambda, for deploying and scaling web applications.
  • Version control systems including Git and continuous integration and deployment tools including Jenkins.
  • Leading software projects as a technical lead, including managing project timelines, leading a development team, and communicating with stakeholders.
