About the position

As Lead Website Product Manager, you will play an integral role in redefining the business unit’s online presence and positioning ecommerce as a critical commercial sales channel. You will ensure that the ecommerce site runs efficiently, the demands and feedback of customers are heard, and releases of new features and improvements meet a set standard. You will be responsible for leading the digital product roadmap, making sure it has the flexibility and performance to support the rapid growth of the business. You will work in multi-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvements across the business unit’s digital real estate. This position calls for a blend of technical skills, creativity, and forward-thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business unit website ecosystem with a focus on improving customer experience and growing the impact ecommerce has on the business.
  • Build and deliver outstanding digital experiences that offer a seamless customer journey between content and physical product.
  • Manage a roadmap and strategy for digital experience and ecommerce functionality that balances feature development with long-term scaling.
  • Place customers first by performing market research, user research, A/B testing, data analysis and user testing.
  • Translate findings, business needs, and technological capabilities into realistic user stories, digital product requirements, and desired outcomes.
  • Serve as the voice of the marketing user with technical teams by gathering feedback from marketing users and translating that into actionable requirements.
  • Set up workflows for content creation, approvals, and version control to empower non-technical staff to maintain the content on the websites.
  • Collaborate with IT by articulating business needs, user needs, and difficulties in Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
  • Conduct training for newly introduced or revised functionality for internal collaborators like product management, customer service, and sales.
  • Work with team on customer communications.
  • Build cases and analytical insights for developing significantly new ecommerce features, by identifying clear problems and success metrics and using data to make informed digital product decisions.
  • Support solving problems by analyzing performance, fielding inquiries, and proposing solutions as they relate to the customer’s ability to self-serve online.
  • Work with business analysts to set up the user acceptance criteria and in ensuring that processes are detailed for digital products.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in marketing or business or equivalent working experience is required.
  • Experience with building ecommerce platforms and using content management tools.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven, hands-on development experience with multiple web technologies (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JSP, XML, Web Services).
  • Lead developer experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within enterprise content management with deep product knowledge in one or more Web Content Management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Analytics, various ecommerce platforms like SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), multiple CMS platforms, and DAM platforms like Canto.
  • Expert proficiency in one or more enterprise website platform.
  • Execution and results-focused, with emphasis on on-time delivery, ability to structure complex work streams and work independently and with teams.
  • Experience leading projects sophisticated in scope and process implementations in addition to working in matrix organizations.
  • Strong acuity for web analytics and a knowledge of how critical metrics translate to business value.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in life science or genomics.
  • Experience using Optimizely.
  • Experience with CCV2 (SAP Commerce Cloud).
  • Preferred skills: Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, O365, MS Teams, Asana or other project management software.
