Responsibilities
- Manage testing across device hardware, software, mobile applications, and cloud-based products
- Create test plans and strategies to balance product quality and delivery timelines
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand project scope, define test requirements, and review test approaches
- Manage test automation efforts and oversee script development
- Coordinate defect tracking and resolution with development teams
- Report test status and issues to project stakeholders
- Ensure proper documentation of test activities in management systems
- Implement process improvements to increase testing efficiency
- Provide guidance and direction to test team members
- Conduct performance reviews, offer feedback, and set goals for direct reports
- Participate in hiring and interview processes for the test team
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience
- 5+ years of experience in testing and product commercialization, with a focus on device hardware, software, mobile applications, and cloud environments
- 2+ years of people management experience leading test teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Deep experience in product commercialization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in test automation, test management tools, and defect tracking systems
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Ability to effectively mentor others in software test methodologies and test automation
- Talent acquisition and interviewing skills
- Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) preferred
