Responsibilities

  • Manage testing across device hardware, software, mobile applications, and cloud-based products
  • Create test plans and strategies to balance product quality and delivery timelines
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand project scope, define test requirements, and review test approaches
  • Manage test automation efforts and oversee script development
  • Coordinate defect tracking and resolution with development teams
  • Report test status and issues to project stakeholders
  • Ensure proper documentation of test activities in management systems
  • Implement process improvements to increase testing efficiency
  • Provide guidance and direction to test team members
  • Conduct performance reviews, offer feedback, and set goals for direct reports
  • Participate in hiring and interview processes for the test team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience
  • 5+ years of experience in testing and product commercialization, with a focus on device hardware, software, mobile applications, and cloud environments
  • 2+ years of people management experience leading test teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Deep experience in product commercialization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in test automation, test management tools, and defect tracking systems
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
  • Ability to effectively mentor others in software test methodologies and test automation
  • Talent acquisition and interviewing skills
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) preferred
