About the position

As a Manufacturing Technician at Carbon Robotics you'll be responsible for the assembly, testing, and quality control of all sub-assembly parts. This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure the production of high-quality, reliable products.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble Sub assembly components according to detailed engineering specifications and assembly instructions.
  • Use hand and power tools to assemble mechanical components, optical components, and electronic parts.
  • Ensure that all components are correctly aligned and securely fastened.
  • Calibrate scanning devices to ensure accurate and precise operation.
  • Adjust and fine-tune optical components, sensors, and other critical elements as needed.
  • Document and report any issues to the Manufacturing Supervisor for resolution.
  • Conduct functional tests to verify that components meet performance specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of assembly, calibration, and quality control processes.
  • Update and complete production logs, checklists, and other relevant documentation.
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing Supervisor and other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers and product designers to address technical issues and improvements.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

  • Secondary education or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications are a plus.
  • Willingness to work across multiple functional teams required.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly of electronic or mechanical components is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise assembly instructions.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Basic understanding of optical systems, electronics, and sensors is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
