Responsibilities

  • Define the strategy for sports marketing and develop big-bet initiatives designed to break through at an industry level, in service of our company goals.
  • Own the end-to-end planning and execution of our largest marketing initiatives, including our brand presence at The National and Whatnot Card show.
  • Develop and manage relationships with industry-level leaders, from influencers, sellers, manufacturers and other key partners.
  • Manage a high performing team responsible for owning buyer acquisition, including devising product release moments, campaigns and events that generate community buzz & grow demand.
  • Monitor, understand and report out on demand-side performance as well as measure the efficacy of the work that moves these metrics.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of marketing experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • 8+ years of experience in category marketing or sports marketing with a high level of proficiency in managing demand-side business, including defining & tracking growth KPIs.
  • Expertise in developing industry-defining campaigns that deliver both impact for the brand and the bottom-line for the business.
  • Experience owning IRL and event experiences as part of marketing responsibilities with proven track records of tying them to business impact.
  • Experience and interest in working directly with influencers, creators & other industry partners within the sports card space.
  • Immersed in internet culture & deeply entrenched in how to market to communities.
  • Strong program management skills, people management experience and ability to lead a high-performing team.
  • Highly proficient with storytelling using data, including the ability to use data analytics tools to pull together the data needed.
  • Experience at a high-growth startup, marketplace, or creator-focused platform.
  • Scrappy and flexible enough to work in a fast-paced startup environment with limited guidance and comfortable pivoting quickly as needed.
