About the position

Bloomsbury is seeking a spring Marketing and Publicity Intern for its Special Interest team. The intern will assist our small team in the publication and promotion of specialty nonfiction books in popular science, sports & fitness, military history, wildlife, and crafting, as well as the newly acquired Head of Zeus. Please note that interns will not be working with Sarah J. Maas titles nor YA/Children’s books. Responsibilities

  • Attending editorial meetings
  • Completing publicity, influencer, and institutional research
  • Drafting galley letters, press releases, and marketing materials
  • Assisting the publicity department in media tracking and pitching
  • Contributing content to our social media accounts
  • Managing departmental shipping
  • Providing administrative support to the marketing and publicity team
  • Updating data systems as-needed

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented
  • Able to manage their own time
  • Highly organized
  • Demonstrably strong interest in publishing
