This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. Responsibilities

  • Ability to view and understand complex systems, including their interactions and dependencies.
  • Proficient in using SysML or other modeling languages and tools to create and analyze system models.
  • Skilled in managing and tracing requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify, evaluate, and resolve complex engineering problems.
  • Ability to assess different aspects of a system and foresee potential issues or improvements.
  • Attentive to details to ensure that system models and requirements are accurate and complete.
  • Experience in managing systems and requirements through various stages of the product lifecycle, from concept to deployment and beyond.
  • Capable of handling changes to system requirements and designs while managing scope and project impacts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to stakeholders, team members, and external partners.
  • Ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams, understanding and integrating diverse perspectives and expertise.
  • Collaborative approach, working effectively with others to achieve common goals.
  • Understanding and addressing customer needs and ensuring that systems meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and new challenges, and to adjust models and designs accordingly.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest developments in systems engineering, modeling tools, and methodologies.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively when developing system models and solutions.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to modeling processes and system engineering practices.

Requirements

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • Knowledge or interest in SysML and UML.
  • Knowledge or interest in MATLAB.
  • Knowledge or interest in any Programming Language.
  • Knowledge or interest in Linux.
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering Principles.
  • Experience with Cameo System Modeler or other comparable tools.
  • Experience with any Requirements Management tools (JAMA, DOORS, etc.).
  • Must be able to work independently and have effective writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Clearance: Secret clearance to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with enhanced security checks.
