About the position

The Music Organizations Marketing/Social Media Assistant assists the Music Organizations staff with daily duties and special projects with a focus on marketing and social media content development.

Responsibilities

  • Draft creative copy, source photos, manage calendar for St. Olaf Music social media accounts
  • Draft content and work with Assistant Director of Music Organizations to schedule and distribute marketing emails for ensemble performances throughout the academic year, both on tour and on campus
  • Assist in distribution of promotional mailings and packets, including preparation, inventory maintenance, and distribution
  • Help develop and maintain contact lists for Ambassador tour performances and promotional materials
  • Proofread and assist in copy-editing all marketing materials
  • Assist with maintaining St. Olaf Records inventory of and order fulfillment
  • Run errands around campus for music staff and faculty
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Music Organizations and Ticketing Coordinator of Music Organizations with administrative tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Organizational skills
  • Experience with Excel/Word and Google Docs/Sheets
  • Ability to focus and be productive in a high-traffic work environment
  • Capacity to successfully complete tasks independently, with little supervision
  • Ability to collaborate and interact well with staff members on large projects
  • Discretion around confidential information
