About the position

The Opioid Abatement Coordinator reports to the Executive Director of the Georgia Opioid Crisis Abatement Trust and serves a critical role in providing support and coordination activities on behalf of the Executive Director and the Opioid Abatement Liaison. The Opioid Abatement Coordinator supports the activities of the Trust by scheduling appointments; maintaining calendars; assisting in the preparation of reports and research; coordinating meetings; performing data analysis; and preparing presentations or notes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Georgia Opioid Crisis Abatement Trust staff in monitoring progress with the stated goals of the Trust.
  • Plan, organize, and execute tasks and coordinate resources to achieve Trust goals.
  • Support routine administrative functions for the Trust, such as calendar management, booking travel, creating travel expenses, meeting planning, contract payments, etc.
  • Ensure each grant application conforms to the stated requirements of the Trust.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director, Opioid Abatement Liaison, opioid attorney, and the Trustee to schedule, prepare, review, and finalize meeting materials, reports, or other requests as needed.
  • Manage meetings and prepare meeting materials, presentations, and/or reports for the Executive Director and Opioid Abatement Liaison. Conduct follow-up as needed.
  • Process Trust administrative invoices.
  • Respond to constituent questions via Zendesk and share Trust email address.
  • Assist the Opioid Abatement Liaison in maintaining and executing tasks within the grant management system.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with providers and other stakeholders, DBHDD offices, and divisions.
  • Ensure information on the Trust website is maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license; 6 points or less on motor vehicle reports.
  • High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of professional level experience related to the area of assignment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the parties included and their role in the Opioid Settlement Agreements.
  • Passion for recovery from and/or knowledge about opioid/substance use disorder.
