About the position

This position is for an Optometrist within the Federal service, specifically targeting locations in North and South Dakota. Responsibilities

  • Provide independently the full range of clinical optometric diagnosis and treatment for prevalent types of vision dysfunctions.
  • Detect and refer patients with ocular disease or ocular manifestations of systemic disease.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited program.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice optometry.
  • Passing score on the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) examinations.
  • For GS-12 level, one year of residency or professional experience equivalent to GS-11.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a clinical setting providing optometric services.
  • Familiarity with federal service requirements and regulations.
