About the position

U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Principal Software Engineer - Amazon Connect (Multiple openings) in Houston, Texas. This position involves leveraging expertise in Cloud Contact Center (CC) services that use Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) technology and acting as the company's internal Subject Matter Expert. The role includes leading cross-functional strategic discussions with technical and business stakeholders, shaping the vision and roadmap for Amazon Connect technology within U.S. Bank. The successful candidate will develop and champion a comprehensive Amazon Connect technology roadmap, including architecture, strategies, standards, and adoption of leading-edge IVR and Contact Center solutions. The position also requires maintaining and fostering strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive successful Amazon Connect implementations, modeling Amazon Connect architecture that prioritizes a seamless user experience, and spearheading comprehensive technical reviews across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage expertise in Cloud Contact Center services using VOIP technology.
  • Lead cross-functional strategic discussions with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Develop and champion a comprehensive Amazon Connect technology roadmap.
  • Maintain and foster strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Model Amazon Connect architecture prioritizing user experience and data security.
  • Spearhead comprehensive technical reviews across projects.
  • Lead technical planning and infrastructure integration.
  • Educate technical team members and internal customers on Amazon Connect architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate Contact Center software development experience.
  • 24 months of experience analyzing, designing, programming, implementing, and testing customized cloud contact center solutions in Amazon Connect.
  • Experience managing projects for new contact center designs or modifications on Amazon Connect platforms.
  • Experience leading Cloud Contact Center migrations from legacy platforms to Amazon Connect.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing customized IVR solutions in Amazon Connect.
  • Experience developing Amazon Connect call flows and implementing IVR related features.
