About the position
This position designs, develops and enhances new and existing products/product lines. Evaluates and recommends specifications and ensures products meet the technical and functional requirements.
Responsibilities
- Recommends and follows reliable, efficient, and cost effective procedures
- Performs feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs
- Works with other members of the engineering team to ensure project milestones are met and that projects are completed according to established timelines
- Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
- Designs products and systems to interface machines, hardware and software
- Produce engineering documentation to support the design
- Provide adequate information to manufacturing and purchasing to reproduce the product
- Provide technical support to all employees and customers when needed.
Requirements
- Ability to travel <25%
- CAD Proficiency
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Industry experience a plus
