Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing customer inquiries and occasionally deliver technical presentations to customers.
  • Execute product development activities such as DFMEA, DVP&R, technical report writing, failure analysis, and process system requests using SAP or similar software to meet customer needs.
  • Develop test procedures, validate test rig and tool designs, and coordinate testing in collaboration with test laboratories.
  • Collaborate with designers to create drawings that adhere to Schaeffler standards and approve these designs, including the review and approval of customer drawings.
  • Assist in supplier development by determining necessary design characteristics, layouts, and tolerances for drawings.
  • Cooperate and assist with processing informal and ECM requests, ensuring product quality and performance integrity for ongoing production lines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; other engineering degrees (electrical, materials, industrial, or product design) will be considered.
  • Analytical skills for problem-solving using engineering principles.
  • Creativity and innovation for developing or improving products.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for collaboration.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience or aptitude for working in team environments.
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality and precision.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment visa or sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience and knowledge in automotive industry, specifically in bearing technologies.
  • Basic project management understanding (planning, scheduling, time management).
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling software for creating component and assembly models.
