Our Lakeland Distribution Center 30,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operation 24/7, is currently seeking a Product Inspector to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Verification that all labeling specifications are adhered to.
- Validates correct product is pulled and shipped to customer.
- Responsible for final release of product to the customer.
- Reports non-conformance findings to the responsible department manager/supervisor.
- Verifies that action was taken to correct the non-conformance, when appropriate.
- Performs any other commodity related tasks or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education preferred.
- Experience in the produce industry preferred.
- High level of attention to detail, ability to identify differences when inspected items are very similar in nature.
- Ability to prioritize work and act independently within defined parameters for role.
- Inspection/audit experiences, working in software applications preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use and read measuring devices such as scales, calipers, ruler.
- Proficient in MS Office.
