About the position
As the Director, Product Manager for Network Edge at Equinix, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our networking infrastructure as a service offering. Responsibilities
- Define and articulate a clear product vision, ensuring alignment with Equinix’s overall business strategy
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for enhancements, expanding our marketplace of curated network functions, and new service offerings
- Prioritize the backlog effectively, ensuring development efforts are aligned with customer needs and market demand, balancing short-term needs with long-term vision
- Establish strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring that product offerings are continuously refined to meet customer expectations
- Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, technical alliances, marketing, and operations teams to ensure product success. Foster a culture of open communication to drive product success
- Define key performance indicators, regularly report on these, and use data-driven insights to make strategic adjustments
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on networking, cloud services, or cyber security
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing networking products or services, particularly in NFVi (Network Functions Virtualization Infrastructure)
- Strong understanding of networking technologies, cloud infrastructure, and virtualization
- Familiarity with product management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
- Experience with data analysis and performance metrics to drive product decisions
- Ability to develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business goals
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members
- Proven ability to engage with customers to gather insights and feedback, ensuring product offerings meet market needs
- Strong understanding of business principles, including revenue generation, pricing strategies, and market positioning
- Ability to analyze financial metrics and make data-driven decisions

- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Relevant certifications in product management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Marketing Certification) or networking (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) may be beneficial
