You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the AI-first product goal, strategy, and roadmap for the participant management suite, driving the integration of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), especially Large Language Models (LLMs) and agent-based systems, to deliver magical user experiences throughout the participant management lifecycle.
  • Hone a compelling product narrative that articulates the transformative business impact and AI-driven user value to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Establish and own key success metrics to measure product health, AI effectiveness, and operational efficiency, fostering a data-informed decision-making culture.
  • Enable the integration of Third Party (3P) tools, ensuring a cohesive suite and executing thoughtful deprecation plans for legacy systems.
  • Drive user-centricity by connecting directly with users and partnering closely with User Experience (UX) researchers to translate insights into AI-powered solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience driving product roadmap, go-to-market strategy, managing product strategies, cross-functional (xfn) collaboration.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4 years of Technical Product Management experience (i.e., creating product roadmaps from conception to launch and working with cross-functional teams).
  • Experience with the domain area of Generative AI or Large Language Models, with agents, agent-builders, or AI workflow tools.
  • Experience collaborating closely with UX partners to launch new products and features.
  • Experience in platform or internal tools product management.
  • Ability to learn new systems and engage in-depth with engineering partners.
  • Familiarity with the user research workflow.

Benefits

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
  • Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
  • Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
