About the position

At Ford, every vehicle health message we analyze is more than just data-it's a signal from a customer who depends on their vehicle. Whether it's a technician diagnosing an issue, a fleet manager optimizing uptime, or a driver trying to avoid an unexpected repair, we are here to help. The Vehicle Health product team is looking for a Vehicle Health & Insights product manager to support new and existing vehicle health insights, ensuring customers and service teams receive the most accurate, useful data possible. This is not a reporting role. This is the truth-seeker role. If you wake up thinking about whether the numbers you see are real, if you know when data is lying to you, and if you refuse to take 'this is what we've always tracked' as an answer-this role is for you. We need someone who can own the entire vehicle health funnel, from raw data ingestion to customer action. The mission is clear: make sure we know what's happening, not what we think is happening. You'll obsess over the metrics, validate what's real, and figure out where the data stops telling the truth. This role is deeply hands-on, technical, and investigative. SQL, Excel, and Amplitude aren't just tools-you should be able to think in them. You'll map the entire data pipeline, identify every possible drop-off, and relentlessly pressure-test every insight we generate.

Responsibilities

  • Own The Full Funnel of Vehicle Health - Define, track, and optimize the journey from data collection to insight generation to customer engagement to service action.
  • Truth-Seeking Analytics - Use SQL, Excel, and Amplitude (or similar tools) to prove what's real, interrogate assumptions, and call out false signals.
  • Metric Ownership & Accountability - Identify who owns each KPI, understand how it's measured, and make sure the organization isn't working off bad numbers.
  • Gap Identification - Find where the data doesn't tell the whole story. Develop methods to verify missing insights and improve funnel visibility.
  • Cohort & Engagement Analysis - Run segmentation, behavioral analysis, and retention tracking to understand who converts and why.
  • Drop-Off Investigation - Identify where customers disengage, where insights fail to drive action, and where the real opportunities for improvement lie.
  • Business & Technical Bridge - Work cross-functionally with PMs, data scientists, engineering, and marketing to refine our funnel strategy.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Amplitude or similar analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data integrity and truth-seeking.
  • Experience in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ability to conduct cohort and engagement analysis.
  • Experience in identifying gaps in data and developing methods to improve visibility.
