Product marketing ignites growth by driving products to market and keeping them there. Product Marketing intersects sales, marketing, product management, and customer success to translate complex product portfolio capabilities into compelling market value propositions. Their responsibilities include gathering market insights, developing go-to-market strategies, providing sales enablement, crafting positioning/messaging, and determining pricing. Trimble PMMs are obsessed with accelerating qualified pipeline, ACV bookings performance, best-in-class revenue growth, and maximizing share of wallet. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, this role will focus on the BIM | Engineering | VDC technology category. It will be responsible for supporting go-to-market efforts for a portfolio of Trimble capabilities in 3D modeling for structural steel, precast concrete, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil engineering and construction trades. By listening to our markets (i.e., voice of customer, buyer persona on-site visits, market research, win/loss analysis, and customer feedback), the PMM will use the intelligence they gain to optimally position, package, price, and promote our SaaS technology portfolio to meet target business outcomes. They will also serve as a subject matter expert in their technology category and vertical market, driving demand, improving conversion, retaining customers, and growing market share.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver buyer persona profiles, positioning, messaging, unique value propositions, and industry trends through quantitative and qualitative market research.
  • Develop and enable the sales and partner organizations with practical sales tools.
  • Enable the marketing team with differentiated positioning and messaging, as well as campaign support, to grow the pipeline and retain customers.
  • Serve as an industry thought leader and product expert in the marketplace by speaking at conferences, authoring content, and demonstrating Trimble technology.
  • Be an expert in the customer buying process and technology adoption journey.
  • Work closely with product management to align messaging, positioning, and value propositions for product launch and releases.
  • Work in partnership with product management to influence and prioritize the roadmap and solution development with market requirements.
  • Support sales in high-priority business development efforts, including proposal support to secure lighthouse accounts that build markets.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in marketing or an industry field such as civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, or construction prefabrication.
  • 5+ years of experience in the B2B SaaS software market, preferably in product marketing.
  • Self-starter, tech-savvy, and thrives in cross-functional teams.
  • Impeccable interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • A working understanding of the Architecture | Engineering | Construction | Owner (AECO) market and/or demonstrable experience becoming an expert in a new market segment.
  • Experience and/or certification with Product Marketing Alliance, Pragmatic Marketing, Silicon Valley Product Group, or other product management and product marketing frameworks is a plus.
