About the position

Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world’s well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands. The Innovation Engineering team is responsible for the development of standards, templates, specifications, and owner’s requirements documents in support of Vantage’s global growth, most notably leading the Vantage prototyping effort known as OneDesign. The team collaborates with all multi-functional teams within Vantage to drive prototypical designs for global deployment to ensure high quality, consistent product deployments in alignment with constantly evolving internal and external customer requirements. In addition to standards development, the Innovation Engineering team is responsible for leading due diligence assessment of merger and acquisition opportunity, and development of design requirements for customer build to suit opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the roadmap and backlog for design standards, translating strategic direction into clear, actionable workstreams with defined requirements, success metrics, and delivery targets.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and other stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Participate in roadmap planning, launch execution, reviews, and retrospectives to support effective delivery and drive continuous improvement of the product development process.
  • Partner with regional and global teams to gather feedback and input, ensuring standards remain relevant, scalable, and adaptable across markets.
  • Drive development and continuous improvement of design standard documentation and delivery processes using product management practices.
  • Support the execution of roadmap initiatives from planning through launch, coordinating with subject matter experts to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Evaluate the adoption, performance, and feedback of implemented standards to guide future iterations and enhancements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, Program Manager, or similar role (ideally in an engineering of infrastructure setting).
  • Background in data centers, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), civil/structural design, or related technical disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience applying product or program management principles to physical infrastructure or technical documentation.
  • Strong skills in managing roadmaps, backlogs, and stakeholder priorities across multiple projects or business regions.
  • Ability to write clear, detailed requirements and translate between technical and business language effectively.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with an ability to lead cross-functional collaboration.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and limited structure.

Nice-to-haves
