About the position

The Product Safety & Compliance Engineer will interact with team members in the US and China. They will have direct involvement with our certification partners for electrical safety, restricted materials, sanitization and chemical substances. The candidate will be responsible for all compliance activities for low and medium complexity projects for the product category assigned covering all regions where the product is marketed.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to initiatives related to market surveillance activities.
  • Evaluate marketplace data and consumer events for safety risks.
  • Support certification projects for legacy product changes.
  • Oversee recurring certification activities (EPA, Restricted & Regulated Chemicals).
  • Lead low and medium complexity product certification projects.
  • Lead design reviews at key milestones for your projects.
  • Present the status of your projects and associated project risks.
  • Support preparation of executive review updates on all team activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of compliance or design related experience of consumer or commercial electromechanical products preferred.
  • Entry level knowledge of regulatory standards or governmental regulations.
  • Experience with participating in DFMEA sessions preferred.
