About the position

ANDRITZ PULP AND PAPER is a globally leading supplier of plants, equipment, and services for the pulp and paper industry. Automation and Digitalization is a strategic, fast growing business area within ANDRITZ. ANDRITZ Digital and Smart Solutions are designed to provide sustained performance improvement to our customers in the pulp and paper industry. ANDRITZ (PAD) is seeking a self-motivated, experienced individual to act as a key contributor in sales of our Analyzer and Advanced Controls Portfolio for the fiber line, recovery line and stock prep areas of the Pulp and Paper mill. The Product Sales Manager has the responsibility to grow the market share through strong sales skills and business planning. The ability to qualify sales cases, define the optimum solution, accurately determine the customer's return on investment, and communicate these benefits to the customer is essential in this role. Equally important is the ability to manage the flow of information to and from the product home and to manage the transfer of vital data to ensure success of project implementation. This is an exempt position with annual bonus potential.

Responsibilities

  • Act as technical lead in sales cases, including qualifying sales cases, defining the optimal solution, calculating customer's return on investment, interfacing with the customer to present solution details and promote the benefits.
  • Customer visits and audits focused on data discovery, sales activities, customer training, problem resolution, and other customer facing activities.
  • Manage the sales portfolio, including regular reporting of sales activities and problem resolution.
  • Pre-sales collaboration with global and regional business development and sales group.
  • Promote knowledge sharing between product group and regions.
  • Reinforce the behaviors of #1ANDRITZWay and be a role model to the team and to the whole organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering or Pulp & Paper Technology with a minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience.
  • Experience in providing customers with on-site evaluations, audits & training.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate effectively on various levels, verbally and in writing is essential.
  • Must be able to work independently and within a group.
  • Understanding of customer processes.
  • Automation and digital technologies knowledge.
  • Language skills: English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Process and industry understanding: Strong understanding of the Kraft pulp mill process and ability to determine return on investment scenarios for various technical solutions.
  • Process Automation Knowledge: Understanding of Advanced Process Control and data analytics.
  • Strong communications skills: Ability to communicate with ease with internal and external stakeholders and articulate the benefits of the ANDRITZ solution.
