About the position

Toyota is looking for team members who are passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative and highly motivated team as a Product Security Development Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to support product day-to-day work within an assigned software development team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the person in this role will join the Product Cybersecurity Group to deploy security solutions for applications in a more connected vehicle environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the release and deployment of software products
  • Managing the product delivery pipeline and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
  • Collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline product delivery
  • Implementing and maintaining automation tools for building, testing, and deployment processes
  • Monitoring and optimizing system performance post-deployment
  • Troubleshooting issues in the production environment
  • Ensuring compliance with security and quality standards throughout the delivery process

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering
  • Experience in software engineering and/or program/project management
  • Strong technical background with proficiency in relevant programming languages and technologies
  • Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) processes and tools
  • Understanding of business processes and ability to translate them into technical requirements
  • Project management experience related to software development
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and testing methodologies

Nice-to-haves

  • Postgraduate degree(s) and/or certifications in cybersecurity and/or automotive related engineering
  • Japanese language proficiency
  • Experience using and/or administration of JAMA software
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Program Management Professional (PgMP), preferred but not required
