About the position
The position involves performing computer operations integration, scheduling, problem resolution, and output control of applications executing in a multi-platform, Corporate 24X7 Data Center operations environment. The role requires analyzing existing and new production applications to ensure schedule and procedural efficiencies, integrating and maintaining automation procedures, and quality assurance. Additionally, the candidate will participate in special assignments on a consistent basis.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update scheduling system.
- Maintain update report distribution.
- Implements automation solutions.
- Mentors Operation Analysts I and Computer Operators I and II.
- Performs quality assurance functions.
- Administrates all tape library support functions.
- Participates in projects in a support role.
- Performs all functions of an Operations Analyst I.
- Coordinates planning tasks associated with production system implementation.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Information systems applications, computer operations technologies/processes/methodologies, and supporting complex projects.
- Information technology degree or equivalent related experience.
- Good teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills required to work jointly with other IT&T sections, business units, and vendors to develop plans and service levels.
- Must be able to travel independently.
