About the position
This position will rotate general laborer positions including stacker, scaler, and block handler, for breaks and lunches or as directed. The role involves completing tasks for the job that this position is rotating into for a short period of time, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area, and performing other related duties as requested.
Responsibilities
- Ensure meat patties are properly packed into boxes.
- Accurately place patty stacks within designated specifications.
- Maintain pace while meeting quality standards.
- Check and adjust box weights as needed.
- Ensure plastic liners completely and securely cover the completed care prior to taping.
- Conduct box count checks.
- Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and operation.
- Move cases from the pallet to the microwave infeed belt following safe lifting guidelines.
- Remove liner and push the block into position to feed grinder.
Requirements
- Basic math, language, and reading skills.
- Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Ability to maintain a single task focus and situational awareness.
- Must be able to move and lift up to 60-pound wooden skid or pallet.
- Able to work in a cold refrigerated environment for up to 10 hours.
