As the Program Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating our after school program, ensuring its smooth operation and creating a positive and enriching environment for the participating children.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the after school program, including scheduling, curriculum development, and program logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all program policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with school administration and staff to align program activities with the school's goals and values.
- Maintain accurate program records, attendance, and participant information.
- Recruit, train, and supervise program staff, including instructors and assistants.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to program staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance staff performance.
- Design and develop engaging and age-appropriate program curriculum, incorporating a variety of educational and recreational activities.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the curriculum to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with program goals.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with parents, ensuring regular updates on program activities and child progress.
- Conduct program evaluations and gather feedback from participants, parents, and staff to identify areas of improvement and make necessary adjustments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, education, child development, or a related field are preferred but not required, can be substituted by equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working in an after school program or similar educational setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and community members.
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and enriching program environment.
- Knowledge of child development principles, educational best practices, and program evaluation techniques.
