The position of Quality/Safety Tech will be assisting the Divisional Quality Manager and Divisional Safety Manager in the plant location. Will be the local representative of the quality department and safety department.
Responsibilities
Work safely at all times, be aware of surroundings and understand and comply with Pratt Industries Safety rules, operating procedures, and help hold co-workers responsible for safety related items.
Participate in Plant Safety Committee.
Follow at all times GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes).
Learn and comply with Pratt Industries quality procedures and policies.
Stop bad quality from leaving the facility to the Customer.
Catch poor quality on the front end of manufacturing the product.
Strong attention to detail for poor quality; prevent bad quality being sent to customer.
Demonstrate superior time management skills and be self-driven and self-motivated.
Maintain excellent attendance.
Exhibit outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
Solve practical problems and interpret verbal and written instructions.
Multi-task and deal with a variety of challenges and situations.
Read, comprehend and interpret operating instructions, training and procedure manuals.

Be involved in the complaint process for internal and external customers.
Enter, track, and resolve complaint issues and conduct root cause analysis.
Perform process audits.
Conduct data entry.
Manage and control documents (safety, training, and quality).
Control non-conforming supplier defects and returns.
Manage sorting and reworks.
Manage weekly KPIs and/or compliance with CAR (corrective action reports).
Responsible for PAR (Preventive Action Reports).
Work overtime as necessary, sometimes on short notice.
Be available to work on holidays when necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Computer literacy; proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
High school graduate or equivalent with related college degree and/or technical courses or associate (two-year) college degree.
Minimum of one year of experience in a related field.
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, ISO, Six Sigma preferred, OSHA or Safety related field.
