About the position

This is a salary exempt position focused on compliance, oversight, guidance, and lifecycle management for direct and indirect materials using PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and Oracle Fusion Cloud. The role involves responding to requests for MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) setups and assisting in Supply Chain Services functions related to lifecycle and data management for direct and indirect materials. The position requires collaboration with internal teams to maintain accurate Supply Chain data and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Supply Chain Data Management process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain accurate Supply Chain data including direct and indirect materials, MRO items, price files, and contract sheets.
  • Identify opportunities to promote better data and procedures through adjustments, additions, or eliminations.
  • Support accurate resolution of issues and questions for direct material, indirect material, and MRO item setup and maintenance.
  • Communicate and coordinate with supported groups within the business.
  • Occasionally train others in new or revised procedures.
  • Analyze integrity of data at time of input and escalate issues with data integrity as needed.
  • Explore process improvements within the area of responsibility.
  • Identify and elevate process gaps and opportunities to streamline activities for Supply Chain harmonization.
  • Partner with Category Management to advance indirect material management.
  • Analyze supplier overlap, pricing variability, and contract gaps to identify opportunities for consolidation and negotiation.
  • Deliver actionable insights to enable Category Managers to pursue volume-based pricing and long-term agreements.
  • Lead small-scale, high-impact initiatives within Supply Chain Services.
  • Act as a key liaison between cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in the ongoing development, communication, and implementation of concepts, programs, and policies.
  • Support issue resolution and actively seek process improvements.
  • Maintain familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems and communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years work experience, or 2 years work experience with Related Degree.
  • Related work experience preferred in a field requiring attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Understanding of business systems and processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in supply chain, business, analytics, etc.
  • Preference for experience in food processing organization.
